RACE CANCELLED DUE TO THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC AND CLASHES WITH OTHER RACES IN AUTUMN.
2020 sees the 39th running of this popular village race, brought to you by West Cheshire AC. This race began as a 6-miler in 1982, becoming a 10k in 1993.
The course is a fast, chip-timed, accurately-measured 10km along rural lanes, starting and finishing in the village of Guilden Sutton, Chester. Last year's results proved the PB potential of the course.
The 10K start is about 500 metres from Guilden Sutton Village Hall (Race HQ, number/chip collection & where the finish is). The course has two loops, the first 3.2K followed by a larger loop. The first 4.2K undulates, passing twice under and once over the A55 bypass, after which the course is fairly flat. There is a drinks station at approximately 6.8K where the footpath is wide, the footpath then takes you to the lowest point of the course at 8K. There are then a couple of short rises to the finish at the Village Hall.
Entry cost is £11.00 or £9.00 for UKA Affiliated Runners (£2 Discount will be applied at checkout. Please ensure you use exactly the same name for your race entry as is on your UKA registration card)
West Cheshire AC reserve the right to exercise discretion on return of any funds if the race is cancelled by West Cheshire AC. No refunds will be given for any other circumstance where the entrant does not run in the race.
